What is carburetor? – Honda Dio
Yesterday i had some problem with my bike (Honda Dio). I have been consulting everyone in office about what that problem could be, i know an equivalent of nothing about bikes. Karthik started off making fun of me saying, that “you don’t need to do automobile engineering to ride a dio, you can give 20rs to a mechanic and get it fixed”.
But engineers yaar, you can’t change mindsets, I would like to know what the problem is , how someone fixes it , what is the alternate solution, whats the mechanics behind it, blah blah blah… you cant change the way we think. Then someone told me that it was a carburetor, which could be causing the problem, so i read up about carburetor and came to know that it is a component which controls air flow for combustion. Wikipedia is helpful. Cleaning it up will solve the issue, but why risk that if you don’t know what you are doing, and Wikipedia doesn’t cover the steps to do it. So i have given my bike to a mechanic now.
Moral of the story: Wikipedia is not enough to study Automobile engineering
