I Loved Geocities
Damn – I didn’t know they shut down, It wasn’t in any news i seen.

that’s a shame,
of course they are obsolete now, but what about all the people’s content there?
It’s all gone now?

I too agree that geocities is the mother of all user-centric-free-web-hosting-platform.

Recently about a year or two, google came up with googlepages (now google sites) that crash landed on geocities.

Nevertheless, geocities is still being used by the so called Geeks-of-90s who learned about personalized internet and web hosting thru pratical hands-on.

I wish yahoo! strive thru this tuff time and come back as strong as it was and promote the culture of learn and share…

Anyways, we will miss you – dear “geocities”…
